Disconnect the electrical connection or splice of the switch where applicable.

Remove the sealant around the switch on the top, the bottom of the midspar, and around the electrical connection where applicable.

Remove the terminal lugs where applicable.

 WARNING:_______ DO NOT BREATHE FUMES.  SOLVENTS ARE POISON AND FLAMMABLE.  USE
 SOLVENTS WITH SUFFICIENT AIR.  SUPPLY APPROVED RESPIRATORY
 PROTECTION.  DO NOT GET SOLVENT IN EYES.  DO NOT TOUCH SOLVENT
 WITH SKIN OR CLOTHING.  USE PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT.  KEEP
 FLAMMABLE MATERIALS AWAY FROM SPARKS AND FIRE.
 CAUTION:_______ DO NOT ALLOW SOLVENTS TO CONTACT PLASTICS, CONTROL CABLES,
 LUBRICATED AREAS, DECALS, PAINTS, MARKINGS, OR DAMAGE MAY

 RESULT.
 (1)  Clean the surface of the midspar around the switch mounting hole with BMS 11-7 solvent and a clean lint free cloth.

 CAUTION:_______DO NOT TIGHTEN THE NUT MORE THAN 18 POUND-INCHES. MORE THAN 18 POUND-INCHES OF TORQUE WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SWITCH.
 (2)  
Install the thermal switch on the airplane frame.

Install the switch with a washer and a locknut if it is applicable.

Tighten the nut.
