EQUIPMENT COOLING SMOKE DETECTOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General_______
A. This section contains two tasks. The first task removes the equipment cooling smoke detector. The second task installs the equipment cooling smoke detector.
B. To get access to the smoke detector, M7931, remove the left wall lining panel in the forward lower cargo compartment at STA 581.
C. If there is an indication that a detector does not work correctly, do a check of the lamp befoe you replace the detector.

(1) Open this circuit breaker on the main power distribution panel, P6, and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:

Get access to the smoke detector through the forward lower cargo compartment at STA 581 (AMM 25-52-01/401).
(3)
Disconnect the electrical connector, DM7931, on the smoke detector.
