I. Bottle Pressure Switch Test

(1) Push the test pushbutton on the applicable bottle pressure switch.
(a) Make sure the DISCH light on the fire control module comes on (amber).

(2) Release the pushbutton.
(a) Make sure the DISCH light goes off.

Do the Bottle Pressure Switch Test for each bottle that you
replaced.
(4)
Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

LOWER CARGO COMPARTMENT FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General_______
A. This procedure contains a task to examine the lower cargo fire extinguisher bottles, mounting lugs, wiring, and related plumbing.
B. The lower cargo fire bottles, M6742, M7906, M7907, and M7908 are installed aft of the forward cargo door on the right side of the lower cargo compartment. You can get access to the fire bottles through the lower cargo compartment.

(1) Open this circuit breaker on the main power distribution panel, P6:
(a) 6H6, FIRE EXTINGUISHER LOWER CARGO

Remove the fire extinguisher bottle before you do the weight check (AMM 26-23-01/401).

Do a weight check of the extinguisher bottle:
(a) Weigh the bottle.
NOTE: The measured weight of the bottle includes the charged
____ bottle, the inspection tag on the bottle, and the swivel assemblies. If the squib cartridges are not installed on the fire extinguisher bottle, do not install them. Weigh the squib cartridges as loose parts. Include the weight of the squib cartridges in the measured weight. If the squib cartridges are installed, weigh the bottle with the cartridges installed. Remove all protective covers when the parts are weighed.
(b) Make sure the weight of the bottle is the same as the weight shown on the data plate +/- 0.3 lb.
