ENGINE FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General (Fig. 401)_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first task removes the fire extinguisher bottle. The second task installs the fire extinguisher bottle.
B. Two fire extinguisher bottles are in the leading edge of each wing. The left wing fire extinguisher bottles are M228, M229; and the right wing bottles are M230, and M231. Removal/installation consists of extending leading edge flaps, installing locks, and disconnecting associated plumbing and wiring. Removal/installation procedure is the same for all four bottles.

2. Remove Engine Fire Extinguisher Bottle (Fig. 401)______________________________________
A. General
WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE SQUIB BEFORE YOU DO THE PROCEDURES FOR DEVICES
_______ THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE THE FIRE BOTTLES TO RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Before you touch the squib, do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-41-02/201).
