Push and hold the TEST 1 switch on squib test module M7327 on the overhead maintenance panel (P461).

Remove electrical power if it is not necessary (AMM 24-22-00/201).

APU FIRE EXTINGUISHER BOTTLE DISCHARGE CARTRIDGE (SQUIB) - INSPECTION/CHECK

1. General
_______
A. This procedure has one task:
(1) A visual inspection/check of the APU Bottle Squib.
B. There is one squib on fire bottle M103.
C. The fire bottle is on the left lower corner of the forward side of the APU firewall.
D. Access to the bottle is through access door 315AL below the forward side of the firewall.
E. A manufacturer's date is stamped on the side of the squib.
NOTE: See the manufacturer's data for the maximum service life.

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE SQUIB BEFORE YOU DO THE PROCEDURES FOR DEVICES
_______ THAT ARE SENSITIVE TO ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE. ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE CAN CAUSE THE FIRE BOTTLES TO RELEASE ITS CONTENTS SUDDENLY AND CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Before you touch the squib, do the procedure for devices that are sensitive to electrostatic discharge (AMM 20-41-02/201).

WARNING: PUT A PROTECTIVE COVER ON THE SQUIB WHEN YOU REMOVE THE
_______ ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. THE SQUIB IS AN ELECTRICALLY FIRED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE. IF THE SQUIB FIRES, THE BOTTLE WILL SUDDENLY RELEASE ITS CONTENTS AND CAN INJURY TO PERSONS.
(2) Remove the squib (AMM 26-22-02/401).
