Use your fingers to make sure each of the line fittings are tight.

WARNING: PUT A PROTECTIVE COVER ON THE SQUIB WHEN YOU DISCONNECT THE
_______ ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR. THE SQUIB IS AN ELECTRICALLY FIRED EXPLOSIVE DEVICE. IF THE SQUIB FIRES, THE BOTTLE WILL SUDDENLY RELEASE ITS CONTENTS AND CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

Examine the lockwires on the swivel assembly retaining nut, squib cartridge, and electrical connectors.

If a lockwire is loose or broken, make sure the nut is tight and replace the lockwire.

Examine the wires to the fire bottle to make sure they are intact, shows no signs of wear or chafing, and are routed through the first support clamp without tension on the connector.

(16) Do a weight check of the fire extinguisher bottle.
(a)
Weigh the bottle.
(b)
Before the bottle is installed, make sure its weight is not more than 0.1 pound than the weight listed on the data plate.
NOTE: HTL FIRE BOTTLES; The measured weight of the bottle includes the charged bottle, the inspection tag on the bottle, and the swivel assemblies. If the squib cartridge is not installed on the fire extinguisher bottle, do not install it. Weigh the squib cartridges as loose parts. Include the weight of the squib cartridges in the measured weight. If the squib cartridges are installed, weigh the bottle with the cartridges installed. Remove all protective caps when the parts are weighed.
KIDDE FIRE BOTTLES; The measured weight of the bottle includes the charged bottle, the inspection tag on the bottle and the protection cap on the container outlet. It does not include the squib discharge cartridges, discharge heads or grounding hardware.
