DUCT LEAK DETECTION SYSTEM - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This subject has three tasks. The first task is an operational test of the thermal switches in the duct leak detection system. The thermal switches are found along the wing leading edge and in the struts. The thermal switches find areas that are too hot caused by leaks or breaks in the bleed air ducts and produce duct leak messages on EICAS.
B. The second task is a thermal switch set temperature test.
C. The third task is a system test of the duct leak detection system.
D. Extend the leading edge flaps or open the access panels to access the thermal switches.
