SMOKE DETECTOR EJECTOR - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. General
_______
A. This procedure contains two tasks. The first removes the venturi ejector in the lower cargo compartment. The second task installs the venturi ejector in the lower cargo compartment.
B. A venturi ejector is installed in the fwd lower cargo compartment at STA 970 and another one in the aft lower cargo compartment at STA 1530. You can get access to the fwd ejector through the fwd lower cargo compartment and to the aft ejector through the aft lower cargo compartment.

C. Procedure

(1) Open these circuit breakers on the overhead circuit breaker panel, P7, and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:

7H14, CARGO SMOKE DET, LWR A
(b)
7H15, CARGO SMOKE DET, LWR B

(2) Release the pressure from the pneumatic crossover duct (AMM 36-00-00/201).

WARNING:_______USE EAR PROTECTION IN THE AFT CARGO COMPARTMENT. THE HIGH NOISE LEVEL OF THE EJECTOR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.
(3) Remove the middle floor panel in the fwd lower cargo compartment at STA 970 to gain access to the S2275 fwd ejector or in the aft lower cargo compartment at STA 1490 to gain access to the S2259 aft ejector.
