(1) Examine the gasket for damage.

Replace the gasket if it is damaged (AMM 21-31-12/201).

Lift the outflow valve through the opening in the airplane with the electrical connectors in the forward position.

Install the gasket on the valve body (AMM 21-31-12/201).

Connect the electrical connectors.

Put the forward end of the valve below the latches and lower the aft end of the valve into its position.

Tighten the fasteners.
(a) Turn the fasteners clockwise until they stop.

Clean the area around the outflow valve opening with BMS 11-7, FCC-55, Mek:sec-butyl alcohol (42:58), MEK, or MPK.

Apply a bead seal around the outflow valve opening.
(a) Extend the seal 0.60 inches on the valve body on the forward and aft edges and 0.30 inches around the other edges.
F. Do a Test of the Valve

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a) P6-4 Panel
1) PRESSURIZATION CONTROL (six locations)
2) OUTFLOW VALVE HEATER
(2)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(3)
Put the L and the R PACK switches to OFF.

A. This repair procedure replaces the outflow valve frame seal while the outflow valve is installed on the airplane.
