1. Forward Outflow Valve Removal (Fig. 401)_____________________________

(1) Location Zone
208 Forward Cargo Compartment
B. Procedure

(1) Open this circuit breaker and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag:
(a) P6 panel
1) FORWARD OUTFLOW VALVE

Remove the lower left lining from the forward bulkhead in the forward cargo compartment to get access to the outflow valve.

(3)
Remove the electrical connector from the valve.
S 034-005
(4)
Remove the bonding jumper from the valve body.
S 034-006
(5)
Hold the valve and remove the clamp from each end of the valve.
(6)
Remove the valve.

Procedure

(1) Put the valve in its position and install the clamps (Fig. 401).
NOTE: Make sure the arrow on the valve body points in the forward
____
direction.

Make sure the bonding lug is free of unwanted materials and install the bonding jumper.

Install the electrical connector.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tag and close this circuit breaker:
(a) P6 panel
1) FORWARD OUTFLOW VALVEDo a test of the Forward Outflow Valve

Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Put the L PACK, the R PACK, and the RECIRC FAN switches on the P5 panel to OFF.

Set the mode selector switch to MAN AC or DC at the cabin pressurization control panel on the P5 panel.

Put the outflow valve in the fully closed position:
(a)
Put the manual outflow valve control switch on the P5 panel to CLOSE.
(b)
Monitor the outflow valve position indicator.
(c)
Make sure the mechanical indicator shows that the outflow valve is in the fully closed position.

(5) Put the outflow valve in the fully open position:
(a)
Put the manual outflow valve control switch on the P5 panel to OPEN.
(b)
Monitor the outflow valve position indicator.
