 (2)  Do this check of the right pack capability to pressurize the passenger cabin in the HIGH mode: (a) Open this circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel: 1) IDLE CONT (b) Make sure the right engine throttle automatically advances to approximately N1 30% (flight idle). (c) Adjust the aft outflow valve to stabilize the cabin pressure to 4.0 PSID in the flight idle mode. (d) Open these circuit breakers on the P6-3 circuit breaker panel: 1) NOSE GEAR AIR/GND 2) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS (e) Make sure the ISOLATION VALVE switch is in the CLOSE position. (f) Make sure the BLEED 1 switch is positioned to OFF. (g) Make sure the BLEED APU switch is positioned to OFF. (h) Make sure the RECIRC FAN switch is positioned to AUTO. (i) Make sure the L PACK switch is positioned to OFF. (j) Make sure the right pack has achieved the high flow mode and the cabin rate of change has stabilized. (k) Make a record of the cabin rate of change, right engine pressure, and engine N1% data. (l) Close this circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel: 1) IDLE CONT (m) Close these circuit breakers on the P6-3 circuit breaker panel: 1) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS 2) NOSE GEAR AIR/GND. (n) Allow the cabin pressure to stabilize at 4.0 PSID.

 (3)  Start the left engine with the APU bleed air. (a) Allow left engine parameters to stabilize.

 (9)  
Operate the MANUAL VALVE to CLOSED as necessary to achieve a 4.0 psid on the DIFF PRESS indicator.

 Do this check of the left pack capability to pressurize the passenger cabin in the AUTO Mode:

 (a)  
Make sure the DIFF PRESS indicator on the P5-17 panel indicates a steady 4.0 psid.

 (b)  
Make a record of these parameters on the data sheet.
 1) Cabin rate of change
 2) Bleed source
 3) N1 %


 (c)  
Monitor the FMC CDU ANALOG DISC page 1/4 to ensure pack and isolation valve operation.

 (d)  
If 4.0 psid cannot be maintained, refer to the trouble shooting (AMM 21-00-05/101) to determine if there is a pack (air inflow) problem and/or an air leakage problem.

 (e)  
Inspect the right side of the airplane for air leakage while the left engine is in operation.

 (11) Do this check of the left pack capability to maintain pressure to the passenger cabin with the pack in the HIGH mode:
 (a)  
Open this circuit breaker on the P6-2 panel:
 1) IDLE CONT


 (b)  
Make sure the left engine throttle automatically advances to approximately N1 30% (flight idle).

 (c)  
Adjust the aft outflow valve to stabilize the cabin pressure to

 4.0 PSID in the flight idle mode.

 (d)  
Open these circuit breakers on the P6-3 circuit breaker panel: 1) NOSE GEAR AIR/GND 2) LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS.

 (e)  
Make sure the ISOLATION VALVE switch is in the CLOSE position.

 (f)  
Make sure the BLEED 2 switch is positioned to OFF.
