 C.  Other air conditioning pack problems can occur as listed below:
 (1)  
Insufficient cooling on the ground or in flight caused by low inflow at pack valve or from APU/Engine bleed.

 (2)  
ACM malfunction.

 (3)  
Loss of heat exchanger effectiveness.

 (4)  
35°F control valve failed full open.

 (5)  
Turbofan and/or turbofan valve malfunction.

 (6)  
Temperature control system malfunction.

 (7)  
Insufficient heating on the ground or in flight caused by low inflow from pack valve or APU/Engine bleed.

 (8)  
Precooler control valve failed open and/or precooler control valve sensor failed to lower temperature.


 4.  Wing and Lower Aft Body Overheat Detection__________________________________________
 A.  When operating air cycle system on auxiliary power unit (APU) air during hot weather the air cycle system and/or pneumatic hot air ducts could cause nuisance trips of the Wing and Lower Aft Body Overheat Detection System, 26-18-0. Should overheat detection system trip without excessive duct leakage, check cleanliness of ducts (Ref 36-19-15 MP), detector installation too close to duct, or a faulty sensor.

____Normally when water separator icing occurs with only one system operating
NOTE: the duct temperature will be 32`F (0`C) or below. Due to accumulation of indicator and temperature bulb tolerances, coupled with variations in temperature of the duct environment between the water separator and the temperature bulb, icing may occur at a duct temperature reading of up to 36`F (2`C).

35`F CONTROL VALVE IS CLOSED - Check IF -inspect for obstructions inside ducts. ram air duct inspection doors and exhaust louvers are full open. Remove modulation panel. Check that ram air operation of turbofan and ram air inlet 

(AMM 21-51-00/501). Cycle System Operation Test COOLING SYSTEM DEFECTIVE - Perform Air 

at 35`F or below. tially open if pack operation is 35`F control valve should be par-35`F CONTROL VALVE IS NOT FULL CLOSED, IF -____NOTE: to OFF and replace 35`F control valve. OR DOES NOT CLOSE - Place PACK switch
