E. Prepare for the Test

WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT PERSONS AND EQUIPMENT ARE CLEAR OF THE LEADING
_______ EDGE SLATS. THE LEADING EDGE SLATS CAN MOVE QUICKLY WHEN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS ARE PRESSURIZED, THE TRAILING EDGE FLAPS ARE AT POSITION 1,2 OR 5, AND WHEN THE AIR/GROUND RELAYS FOR THE NOSE/MAIN LANDING GEAR DETECT AN AIR MODE CONDITION. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1)
Supply electrical power (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Open the bay doors to the air conditioning equipment.

Make sure that all the circuit breakers for the air conditioning system are closed.

Make sure that these circuit breakers are closed on the P6-3 panel:
(a)
MASTER CAUTION (all except FUEL, if installed)
(b)
INDICATOR LIGHTS, MASTER DIM BUS (9 locations)
(c)
DIM & TEST (1 location)
(d)
NOSE GEAR AIR/GND
(e)
LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS

Make sure that the L PACK and R PACK switches are at OFF, on the P5-10 panel.

(6)
Lower the wing flaps to the FLAPS 1 position or more
(AMM 27-51-00/001).
(7)
Move the APU BLEED switch to OFF, on the P5-10 panel.

(8) Move the engine BLEED 1 and engine BLEED 2 switches to ON, on the P5-10 panel.
F. Procedure
(1) S 035-042Disconnect these electrical connectors from the pack valves:
Left Pack Valve_______________ D392 APU High Flow Mode D962 Low Flow Mode D488 Main ON/OFF D486 Limit Switch Right Pack Valve________________D394 APU High Flow ModeD964 Low Flow ModeD492 Main ON/OFFD490 Limit Switch
(2) S 865-043Move the L PACK and R PACK switches to AUTO.
(3) S 865-044Put the air mix valves manually to the middle position.
(4) S 865-177Move the CONT CABIN and PASS CABIN temperature selectors to MANUAL OFF, on the P5-17 panel.
(5) S 715-045Do this test of the 390°F ACM Compressor Discharge switches, S2 and S5: (a) Disconnect the electrical connectors, D532 and D538, from the left and right switches, S2 and S5, respectively. (b) Install a jumper wire between pin 1 and pin 2 of each switch electrical connector. (c) Make sure these lights come on: 1) Left and Right PACK TRIP OFF lights, on the P5-10 panel 2) MASTER CAUTION and AIR COND annunciator lights, on the P7 panel
(d) Push one of the MASTER CAUTION lights.

Make sure the AIR COND annuciator light and both MASTER CAUTION lights go off while the PACK TRIP OFF lights stay on.
(f)
Make sure these voltages occur at these electrical connectors:
NOTE: Both packs must be tripped to get these voltages.

(g)
Remove the jumper wire from pin 1 and pin 2 of each switch electrical connector.
