 (5)  S 714-028Remove the conditioned air from the air conditioning system (Ref 21-00-00/201).
 (6)  S 714-029Make sure the swing check valve is almost open.
 (7)  S 414-031Close the access door to the ground service conditioned air connector.
 (8)  S 414-030Install the center panel to the aft bulkhead in the forward cargo compartment which you removed to get access to the duct and check valve assembly.

 RECIRCULATION FAN - TROUBLE SHOOTING

 1.  General_______
 A.  Main distribution recirculation fan trouble shooting can be accomplished without operating the air conditioning packs and no special equipment is needed.
 B.  Intermittent or cycling operation of recirculation fan indicates fan overheat or defective overheat switch. Remove and replace recirculation fan.
 2.  Prepare for Trouble Shooting____________________________
 A.  Check following circuit breakers on P6 panel are closed.
 (1)
CABIN AIR RECIRC FAN

 (2)
RECIRC FAN CONTROL

 (3)
All air conditioning circuit breakers.

 (4)
RECIRC FAN ENERGIZED

 B.  Open access 3304 and 3404 to gain access to pack flow control and shutoff valves in air conditioning bay.
 C.  Provide electrical power (Ref 24-22-00, MP).

 RECIRCULATION FAN - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  Two tasks are supplied in this procedure. The first task is the removal of the recirculation fan. The second task is the installation of the recirculation fan.
 B.  The recirculation fan is installed in the air-conditioning distribution bay.

Supply electrical power to the airplane (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Set the RECIRC FAN switch on the P5-10 Air-Conditioning Module to the OFF position.

Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE identifiers:

 (a)  P6-4 Load Control Center Circuit Breaker Panel 1) CABIN AIR RECIRCULATION FAN 2) RECIRC FAN CONT

 (4)  Remove these access panels:
 (a)  
Access Panel, Center - Forward Cargo Compartment, Aft Bulkhead

 (b)  
Access Panel, Right - Forward Cargo Compartment, Aft bulkhead
