E. Prepare for the Removal

WARNING: DO NOT OPERATE THE OUTFLOW VALVE DURING THE REMOVAL OR THE
_______ INSTALLATION. IF YOU OPERATE THE VALVE DURING THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION YOU CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
(1) Open these circuit breakers and attach DO-NOT-CLOSE tags:
(a) P6-4 Panel 1) PRESSURIZATION CONTROL (six locations) 2) OUTFLOW VALVE HEATER
F. Remove the Valve

Find the three fasteners forward of the valve and the three fasteners aft of the valve.
S 034-004
(2)
Put the bit in each fastener and turn the bit counterclockwise until it can not turn.

Push up and aft against the aft end of the valve, while you turn it about 1/4 turn.

Disconnect the electrical connectors on the forward side of each actuator.

Remove the heated gasket from the valve body (AMM 21-31-12/201).

Remove the valve through the opening and out of the airplane.
(a) Remove the bead seal from around the outflow valve opening.
WARNING: DO NOT GET SOLVENTS IN YOUR MOUTH, OR YOUR EYES, OR ON
_______ YOUR SKIN. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM SOLVENTS. SOLVENTS ARE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS. SOLVENTS MAY BE FLAMMABLE OR HARMFUL TO THE ENVIRONMENT. REFER TO PRODUCT MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS (MSDS) AND LOCAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PROPER HANDLING PROCEDURES.
(b) Clean the area around the outflow valve opening with BMS 11-7, FCC-55, MEK:sec-butyl alcohol (42:58), MEK, or MPK.
