4) Set the FLT-GRD switch to GRD and make sure the AUTO FAIL and STANDBY lights extinguish.
NOTE: The valve will open.

6) Set the mode selector switch to AUTO.
7) Make sure that the AUTO FAIL and STANDBY lights come on.
8) Set the mode selector switch to STBY.
9) Make sure the AUTO FAIL light goes out.
10) After a minimum of 30 seconds, set the mode selector switch
to AUTO. 11) Make sure the STANDBY light goes out. 12) Open the AUTO AC circuit breaker and make sure the AUTO
FAIL light comes on immediately. 13) Make sure the STANDBY light comes on in 11 to 19 seconds. 14) Close the AUTO AC circuit breaker. 15) AIRPLANES WITH THREE CABIN PRESSURE FITTINGS ON THE FRONT
OF THE PRESSURE CONTROLLER;
Make sure the AUTO FAIL and STANDBY lights go off.
16) AIRPLANES WITH ONE CABIN PRESSURE FITTING ON THE FRONT OF THE PRESSURE CONTROLLER; Do these steps: a) Set the mode selector switch to STBY and make sure that
the AUTO FAIL light goes out.
NOTE: Do not make any changes to the
____ pressurization control system for 20 to 30 seconds to permit induced voltage to bleed off.
b) Set the mode selector switch to AUTO and make sure that the STANDBY light goes out.
(f) Do a check of the operation of the automatic failure detector with a standby mode that does not operate: 1) Set the FLT-GRD switch to FLT. 2) Open the STANDBY AC circuit breaker. 3) Open the AUTO AC circuit breaker. 4) Make sure the AUTO FAIL light comes on. 5) Make sure the STANDBY light stays off. 6) Set the FLT-GRD switch to GRD. 7) Make sure the AUTO FAIL light goes off.

8) Close the STANDBY AC circuit breaker.
9) Close the AUTO AC circuit breaker.
Do a check of the barometric correction circuits for the
automatic mode:
1) Set the FLT ALT control to 35,000 feet.
2) Set the LAND ALT control to the field altitude.
3) Set the FLT-GRD switch to FLT.
4) Make sure the aft outflow valve closes in 10 to 40 seconds.
CAUTION: DO NOT OPERATE AT LESS THAN 28.10 INCH HG (952 MB) OR
_______ MORE THAN 31.00 INCH HG (1049 MB). THIS CAN CAUSE A MALFUNCTION OF THE PRESSURIZATION SYSTEM.
5) Set the captain's standby altimeter to the field pressure.
6) Open the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS circuit breaker and start a stop watch.
7) Look at the VALVE position indicator and make sure the aft outflow valve opens fully in less than 1 minute.
8) Set the captain's standby altimeter to 0.3 inch Hg (10 mb) more than the field pressure.
9) Look at the VALVE position indicator and make sure the aft outflow valve closes fully in less than 1 minute.
10) Set the captain's standby altimeter to 0.3 inch Hg (10 mb) less than the field pressure.
11) Look at the VALVE position indicator and make sure the aft outflow valve opens fully in less than 1 minute.
Do a check of the isobaric pressure function:
1) Set the FLT ALT control to 28,000 feet.
2) Set the LAND ALT control to 5000 feet.
3) Make sure the FLT/GRD switch is in the FLT position.
4) Make sure the captain's standby altimeter is set at 29.00 inches of mercury.
5) Make sure the aft outflow valve is open. a) Look at the stop watch to make sure the valve opens 2 minutes after the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS circuit breaker was opened.
6) Operate the vacuum source to increase the altitude at a rate of 2000 +/- 300 feet/minute (2.0 +/- 0.15 inches Hg/minute) to a value of 4.0 +/- 0.5 inch Hg differential pressure from ambient.
