 7)  Hold the stable vacuum for a minimum of 1 minute.
 8)  Release the vacuum at a rate of 2000 |300 feet/minute (2.0 +/- 0.15 inches Hg/minute).
 9)  Make sure the OFF SCHD DESCENT light comes on in less than 1 minute.
 10) Make sure the OFF SCHD DESCENT light goes off after the pressure signal is the same as field pressure.
 NOTE: The OFF SCHD DESCENT light should not take more

 11) Look at the VALVE position indicator. 12) Slowly increase the barometric correction at a rate not more than 0.3 inch Hg (10 mb)/minute.
 NOTE: The function of this step is to change the
____ barometric pressure the minimum quantity necessary to close the valve. When the step is completed, a small change to decrease the correction will start to open the outflow valve.
 13) When the outflow valve starts to close, do not increase the
 barometric correction unless the valve is not fully closed. 14) Increase the LAND ALT adjustment to 5100 feet. 15) Make sure the outflow valve stays closed. 16) Increase the LAND ALT adjustment to 5700 feet. 17) Make sure the outflow valve opens. 18) Close the LANDING GEAR AIR/GND RELAY & LTS circuit breaker. 19) Put the mode selector switch to AC MAN. 20) Set the toggle switch to OPEN. 21) Make sure the outflow valve is open.

 3. Functional Test of the Pressure Controller (Fig. 501)

 A. General
 (1)  The tests in this procedure isolate the problems to these components:
 (a)  
Pressure controller

 (b)  
Pressure control panel

 (c)  
Aft outflow valve

 (d)  
Barometric correction potentiometers

 (e)  
Landing gear module

 (f)  
Air data computer

 (g)  
Electrical wires in the system.

 (h)  
Use the specified meter when you measure ac voltages at test pin M. You can get voltages that are very much lower than the specified voltages if you use the incorrect meter.

 B. Special Tools and Equipment
 (1)  Simpson meter 260, model 4M.
 NOTE: Do not use this meter for measurement of millivolts.

 (2)  Portable vacuum tube voltmeter or digital voltmeter (accuracy |0.020 volts dc).
 NOTE: Use this meter to measure millivolts.

 (1)  
Do this test of the potentiometer wiper (test pin A or test jack 1) for the standby rate:

 (a)  
Set the mode selector switch to STBY.

 (b)  
Set the CABIN RATE control on the pressurization control panel at the triangular mark.

 (c)  
Set the FLT/GRD switch to GRD.

 (d)  
Connect a voltmeter between test pin A and test pin N (or test jack 1 and test jack 13) on the pressure controller. 1) AIRPLANES WITH PRESSURE CONTROLLER CPC22;
