THE CABIN PRESSURE PREREQUISITES CONTROL SYSTEM
NONE (CPCS) CANNOT MAINTAIN CABIN PRESSURE DUE TO EXCESSIVE AIR LEAKAGE OR THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE AIR SUPPLY SYSTEM
DESCRIPTION:
THE CABIN PRESSURE CONTROL SYSTEM (CPCS) CANNOT MAINTAIN CABIN PRESSURE DUE TO EXCESSIVE AIR LEAKAGE THRU THE AIRPLANE FUSELAGE, OR THE DUCT PRESSURE IS TOO LOW FROM THE PNEUMATICS SYSTEM, OR THERE IS INSUFFICIENT AIRFLOW FROM THE AIR CONDITIONING PACKS.
1.
CPCS CANNOT MAINTAIN CABIN PRESSURE IN "AUTO", "STANDBY", OR "MANUAL" MODES
2.
CPCS CANNOT MAINTAIN CABIN PRESSURE WITH ONLY ONE AIR CONDITIONING PACK IN OPERATION
3.
CPCS CANNOT MAINTAIN CABIN PRESSURE DURING AIRPLANE DESCENT SCHEDULE
4.
CABIN ALTITUDE CONTINUES TO CLIMB WITH ENGINES AT IDLE POWER
5.
CABIN ALTITUDE CONTINUES TO CLIMB WITH AIRPLANE ALTITUDE
6.
CABIN ALTITUDE DOES NOT DESCEND WITH CPCS IN "AUTO" MODE.
POSSIBLE CAUSES:
1.
THE SEALS AROUND THE AIRPLANE DOORS, WINDOWS, AND HATCHES HAVE DAMAGE
2.
THE BILGE DRAINS LOCATED ALONG BOTTOM OF THE AIRPLANE FUSELAGE ARE OPEN
3.
THE SEALS AROUND THE AIRPLANE WATER SERVICE PANELS HAVE DAMAGE
4.
THE SEALS AROUND THE AIR CONDITIONING DUCT PENETRATIONS IN THE A/C EQUIPMENT BAY PRESSURE BULKHEAD HAVE DAMAGE
5.
THE SEALS AROUND THE APU DUCT PENETRATIONS IN THE AFT PRESSURE DOME HAVE DAMAGE
6.
THE SEALS AROUND THE FLIGHT CONTROL CABLE PENETRATIONS IN THE PRESSURE BULKHEADS HAVE DAMAGE
7.
THE STRUCTURE IN THE FORWARD AND AFT WHEEL WELLS HAVE LEAKAGE
8.
THE E/E COOLING OVERBOARD EXHAUST VALVE (OR AUTOMATIC FLOW CONTROL VALVE) IS OPEN (AMM 21-58-31/401)
9.
THE FORWARD OUTFLOW VALVE IS OPEN (AMM 21-43-11/401)
10.
THE AFT OUTFLOW VALVE IS OPEN (AMM 21-31-11/401)
11.
THE AFT OUTFLOW VALVE HEATED GASKET HAS DAMAGE (AMM 21-31-12/201)
12.
THE CABIN PRESSURE NEGATIVE PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE IS OPEN, OR THE SEAL AROUND THE NEGATIVE PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE HAS DAMAGE (AMM 21-32-11/401)
13.
THE CABIN PRESSURE SAFETY RELIEF VALVES ARE OPEN, OR THE SEALS AROUND THE SAFETY RELIEF VALVES HAVE DAMAGE (AMM 21-32-21/401)
