Remove the screws and the washers from the retaining frame and remove the retaining frame.

Remove the grille.

Record the related position of the retainer and the retaining frame so that they can be reinstalled in the same related position.

Remove the valve plate, the seal and the retainer.

(2) S 424-012Make sure that the retainer is installed in the same related position to the retaining frame as recorded during removal.
(3) S 424-007Make sure that the valve plate is correctly installed in the retainer.
(4) S 424-008Put the grille in front of the valve plate.
(5) S 424-009Put the retaining frame on the grille and the valve plate.
(6) S 424-010Install the washers and the screws.

PRESSURIZATION INDICATION AND WARNING - DESCRIPTION AND OPERATION

1. General_______
A. The pressurization indication and warning system, which consists of lights, indicators and a cabin altitude warning system, permits monitoring of the cabin pressurization control system during its operation and provides aural and visual warning in case of pressurization system malfunction (Ref 21-31-00).
B. The following indicator lights are installed on the forward overhead panel and obtain power through 28v dc Bus No. 1.
(1)
The AUTO FAIL light indicates a failure in the automatic pressurization control mode. STANDBY light illuminated indicates automatic transfer to STBY mode.
(2)
The OFF SCHED DESCENT light indicates that the airplane is descending prior to obtaining the cruise altitude selected, with mode selector in AUTO.
