(c) Make sure the mechanical indicator shows that the outflow valve is in the fully open position.
(6) S 864-017Remove the electrical power if it is not necessary (Ref 24-22-00/201).
(7) S 414-020Install the lining in the forward cargo compartment which you removed to get access to the outflow valve.

FORWARD OUTFLOW VALVE - ADJUSTMENT/TEST

1. General_______
A. This procedure has one task. The task gives instructions for the system test of the forward outflow valve.
B. The forward outflow valve is used to exhaust cooling air from the electronic equipment and forward cargo compartment heating air overboard in flight. The opening and closing of the valve is automatic. The position of the valve is controlled by the position of the aft outflow valve and the operation of the recirculation fan.
C. The forward outflow valve is installed in the left side of the forward cargo compartment.

(3) Remove the lining on the forward left sidewall in the forward cargo compartment to get access to the forward outflow valve (AMM 25-52-73/401).

D. Do the Forward Outflow Valve System Test

Put the RECIRC FAN switch on the P5-10 air conditioning module to OFF.

Get access to the aft outflow valve in the aft end of the aft cargo compartment.

Disconnect connectors D950 and D952 from the aft outflow valve.

Connect a jumper wire between connector D952, pins 10 and 14.

Connect a jumper wire between connector D950, pins 10 and 14.

Make sure the forward outflow valve closes fully.

Remove the jumper wire from connector D952, pins 10 and 14.
