 (4)  Do this test of the potentiometer wiper (test pin D or test jack 4) for the barometric correction in the automatic mode:
 (a)  
Set the mode selector switch to AUTO.

 (b)  
Turn the barometric set knob for the captain's standby altimeter through its range and make sure the voltage changes smoothly and continuously.

 (c)  
Set the captain's standby altimeter to 29.92 inch Hg (1013 mbs).

 (d)  
Measure the voltage at test pin D or test jack 4.
 1) Make a record of the voltage.


 (e)  
Get the field pressure for the day.
 1) Make a record of the field pressure.


 (f)  
Refer to Figure 502 and read the barometric correction potentiometer voltage for the field pressure.

 (g)  
Make sure that the voltage at test pin D or test jack 4 is |0.010 volt of the voltage that you read from Figure 502.

 (5)  Do this test of the potentiometer wiper (test pin E or test jack 5) for the cabin altitude:
 (a)  
Set the mode selector switch to STBY.

 (b)  
Turn the CAB ALT control from -990 feet through 000 feet and make sure the voltage changes smoothly and continuously.

 (c)

 (6)  Do this test of the potentiometer wiper (test pin F or test jack 6) for the barometric correction in the standby mode:
 (a)  
Set the mode selector to STBY.

 (b)  
Set the FLT-GRD switch to FLT.

 (c)  
Turn the barometric set knob for the captain's standby altimeter through its range and make sure the voltage changes smoothly and continuously.

 (d)  
Set the captain's standby altimeter to 29.92 inch Hg (1013 mbs).

 (e)  
Measure the voltage at test pin F or test jack 6.
 1) Make a record of the voltage.


 (f)  
Get the field pressure for the day.
 1) Make a record of the field pressure.


 (g)  
Refer to Figure 502 and read the barometric correction potentiometer voltage for the field pressure.
