(1)
Remove the aft bulkhead panel (right) in the aft cargo compartment to get access to the safety relief valves.

(2)
If you cannot get access to the safety relief valve from the aft cargo compartment, remove the cabin pressurization outflow valve (AMM 21-31-11/401).

(3)
Loosen the clamp at the bottom of the safety relief valve.

(4)
Move the clamp down to the pedestal.
(5)
Remove the safety relief valve.
(6)
Remove the gasket.

(1) Apply Dow Corning DC55 grease to each side of the gasket.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CAUSE THE AMBIENT SENSE PORT TO BECOME
_______ BLOCKED WHEN YOU INSTALL THE GASKET ON THE PEDESTAL. THE SAFETY RELIEF VALVE WILL NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY IF THE AMBIENT SENSE PORT IS BLOCKED.
(2)
Install the gasket on the pedestal.

Make sure there is no blockage in the ambient sense port and the safety relief valve.

CAUTION: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU INSTALL THE SAFETY RELIEF VALVE ON THE
_______ PEDESTAL. DAMAGE COULD OCCUR TO THE AMBIENT SENSE TUBE.
(4)
Put the safety relief valve in its position on the pedestal.

(5)
Put the clamp around the top of the pedestal and the bottom of the safety relief valve.
(6)
Tighten the clamp.
(7)
Do a test of the safety relief valve (AMM 21-32-21/501).

(8) S 424-018If the cabin pressurization outflow valve was removed, install the cabin pressurization outflow valve (AMM 21-31-11/401).
(9) S 414-014Install the aft bulkhead panel (right) which you removed to get access to the safety relief valves.
