 AILERON CONTROL LOAD LIMITER - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the aileron control load limiter. The procedure has these parts:
 (1)
The removal of the load limiter

 (2)
The installation of the load limiter

 (3)
The adjustment of the load limiter

 (4)
A test of the load limiter.

 B.  
The load limiter is at the bottom of the first officer's control column. The load limiter has a bus drum, an aileron control drum, a shaft with integral cam, and a roller and torsion spring mechanism with a load.

Manually move the captain's and first officer's control wheels to the neutral position (Fig. 402).

Install rig pin A/S-2 (Fig. 401 and 402).


 NOTE: Rig pin A/S-2 must stay in its hole to keep the trim system
____ at the center for the subsequent adjustment.
 (a)  Make sure rig pin A/S-2 moves freely in its hole.
 1)  If it is necessary, use the trim system switches and move the control wheel until you can easily install rig pin A/S-2.
