 D.  Prepare for Removal
 S 492-002
 (1)  Make sure the ground locks are installed on the landing gear.
 S 492-003
 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  
Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (Ref 32-00-30/201).

 (3)  
Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4 or 2 and 3: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

 (4)  
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (5)  
Manually move the captain's and the first officer's control wheels to the neutral position.

 S 482-007

 (6)  
Install rig pin A/S-2.


 NOTE: Rig pin A/S-2 must stay in its hole to keep the trim system
____ at the center for the subsequent adjustment.
 (a)  Make sure rig pin A/S-2 moves freely in its hole.
 1)  If it is necessary, operate the trim switches and move the control wheel until you can easily install rig pin A/S-2 (Fig. 201).

 (7)  With a clamp, attach the straightedge across the thumbrests on the captain's and first officer's control wheels.

Procedure


 S 022-011
 (1)  
Remove the aileron programmer (Fig. 201):

 (a)  
Remove the clip locks on the turnbuckles.

 (b)  
Disconnect the turnbuckles on wing cables AA (12) and AB (13).

 (c)  
Attach tags to identify the disconnected cable ends.

 (d)  
Remove the cables (12 and 13) from the programmer cable quadrants (1).

 (e)  
Remove the bolt (3) that connects the control rod (2 and 5) of the central lateral control package (CLCP) to the programmer input crank.

 (f)  
Disconnect the force limiter rod (15) between the aileron programmers (14 and 21) from the programmer to be removed.

 (g)  
If you remove the right aileron programmer (14), disconnect the back drive load limiter rod (11).

 (h)  
Remove the bolt (16) that connects the support rods (20) from the lower inboard side of the programmer.

 (i)  
To remove the programmer (14 and 21), remove the bolts (22, 25, 27, and 30) that attach the programmer (14 and 21) to the rigging beam of the wheel well.
