Move the trim switches to LEFT WING DOWN and hold the switches until the movement of the control wheels stops.

 (h)  
Turn the captain's wheel counterclockwise to the 85-degree position and then clockwise to the 85-degree position. Release the wheel.

 (i)  
Make sure the captain's wheel goes back counterclockwise to the neutral position.

 (j)  
Make sure the control wheels and the trim control system are again at the neutral position.

 (3)  
Do a test of the trim system at the center:

 (a)  
Operate the trim switch to turn the control wheel to the neutral position as shown by the trim indicator.

 (b)  
Manually move the wheel clockwise to a position of 1 unit of trim. Release the wheel.

 (c)  
Make sure the wheel goes back approximately 2 degrees from the neutral position.

 7. Aileron Trim Actuator and Trim and Feel Mechanism Inspection/Check

 A. General
 (1)  
This procedure is to do a load check/adjustment of the trim feel and centering springs.

 (2)  
This procedure is an examination of the worn areas of the link/bearing (2), link/bushing (26), sleeve/bearing (32), link/bolt (33), bushing/bolt (34) and bracket/bushing (35).

Micrometer, to measure internally and externally

 (6)  
If the force reading is not between 10.2 pounds and 11.7 pounds do the adjustment that follows:

 (a)  
Remove one spring.

 (b)  
Adjust the other spring such that you can move the roller out of detent when you apply a force between 5.1 and 5.9 pounds

 (c)  
Install and adjust the spring removed earlier such that you can move the roller out of the cam detent when you apply a force between 10.2 and 11.7 pounds.

Do a Check of the Aileron Trim Actuator and Trim and Feel Mechanism
