 (4)  Connect the switch leads to the terminal block (4). (a) Find equivalent color wires. (b) Connect the stabilizer trim switch and autopilot disengage switch leads at the terminal block (4) (Fig. 401). (c) Install washers (18) and screws (17).

 (5)  Do a test of the electrical circuit continuity that changed during removal/installation procedures.

 (6)  Use the insulation tester to do a resistance test on the terminal block while you turn the control wheel from stop to stop. (a) Do a test for resistance to ground, and wire to wire for a minimum insulation value of 100 megohms. 1) Do this test between each wire end terminal and ground and between wire end terminals as follows:
 a)  VIOLET to RED

Install these components on the control wheel:

 (a)  
Install the terminal block cover (2) with bolts (20) and washers (19).

 (b)  
Install the sponge rubber pad (3).

 (c)  
Install the medallion (15) with two approach plate screws (16) on the control wheel (1).

 (d)  
Install the medallion (15) to the control wheel (1) with three screws (14).

 (e)  
Align the holes on the brackets.

 (f)  
Install the approach plate (13) on the medallion (15) with washers (11) and nuts (12).

 AILERON CONTROL DRUM - REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

 1.  General_______
 A.  There are two tasks in this procedure. There is one task for the removal and one task for the installation of the aileron control drum. The procedure has these parts:
 (1)  
The installation of the door locks on the doors for the main landing gear

 (2)  
The removal of the aileron control drum

 (3)  
The installation of the aileron control drum

 (4)  
The adjustment of the aileron control drum

 (5)  
The operational test of the aileron control drum

 B.  
You can find the aileron control drum below each control column. The aileron control drum supplies a full cable loop to the inboard aileron. If there is a malfunction to the outboard aileron, the operation of the control drum will not change.
