WARNING:_______ YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE
QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS
CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (Ref 32-00-30/201).

Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4, or 2 and
3: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (Ref 24-22-00/201).

Set the aileron control and trim systems at the center:
(a)
Move the captain's and first officer's wheels to the neutral position.
(b)
Operate the trim switches until you can easily install the rig pin A/S-2 (Fig. 402).

With a clamp, attach the straightedge across the thumbrests on the captain's and first officer's control wheels.

Get access to the aileron control drum through the 2nd and 3rd ceiling panels at the center.
NOTE: Count the ceiling panels from the forward end of the main

E. Procedure
S 024-018
(1)
Remove the aileron control drum (Fig. 401):
(a)
Disconnect cables ACBA and ACBB at the turnbuckles.
(b)
Disconnect left body cables AA and AB at the turnbuckles.
(c)
Disconnect the position transmitter negator spring from the shaft between the aileron control drums.
(d)
Remove the bolts that attach the aileron control drum to the lower beam.
(e)
Remove the bolts that connect the lower beam to the structure.
(f)
Remove the lower beam.
(g)
Remove the bolts that attach the aileron control drum to the upper beam.
