AILERON TRIM ACTUATOR AND TRIM AND FEEL MECHANISM - MAINTENANCE PRACTICES

1. General_______
A. There are six tasks in this procedure. These are the tasks:
(1)
The removal of the aileron trim system
(2)
The installation of the aileron trim system
(3)
The removal of the aileron trim and feel mechanism
(4)
The installation of the aileron trim and feel mechanism
(5)
The test of the aileron trim and feel mechanism
(6)
The inspection/check of the aileron trim actuator and the trim and feel mechanism.
B.
The aileron trim and feel mechanism gives an alternative feel at the aileron control wheels. It also supplies center and trim of the lateral control system. The mechanism receives its input from the left body control cables. It then supplies an output which operates the central lateral control packages.
