Remove the electrical connector from the transmitter.
(c)
Remove the clamping bolts and nuts.
(d)
Remove the position transmitter.

Install the Transmitter

Make sure that the control columns are in the neutral position.

Install the position transmitter in the clamping bracket.
(a)
Line up the "T" mark on the shaft end of the transmitter with the slot on the clamping bracket ( Fig. 401).
(b)
Line up the "EZ" mark on the transmitter body with the rigging mark on the mounting bracket.
(c)
Install the clamping bolts and the nuts.
(d)
Tighten the clamping bolts and the nuts.
(e)
Connect the electrical connector to the transmitter.
(f)
Install the wire clamp to the transmitter.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P6 Main Power Distribution Panel
1) 6J23 COL/RUD PEDAL IND
2) 6J22 COL/RUD PEDAL SENSOR

Adjust the Transmitter

(1)
Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).
(a)
Open the circuit breaker 6J22 on the P6 panel for the Control Column Position Transmitter and attach a DO-NOT-CLOSE tag.
(b)
Remove the bolt and nut that attach the control rod to the transmitter crank.
(c)
Install rig pin R-4 through the transmitter crank and mounting bracket (Fig. 401).

(d) Apply a 26 VAC, 400 Hz across the pins 14 and 15 at the connector at the rear of the SPD card file.
NOTE: If airplane power is used, close the 6J22 circuit
____ breaker on the P6 panel for the Contorl Wheel Position Transmitter.
(e)
Loosen the clamping bolt until the transmitter rotates freely.
(f)
Measure the voltage across the pins 11 and 13 using a phase angle voltmeter.
(g)
Rotate the transmitter body to achieve a null signal voltage tolerance of less than 50 millivolts.
(h)
Tighten the clamping bolt.
(i)
Make sure the null voltage remains at less than 50 millivolts and has not changed.
(j)
Install rig pin R-1 in the crank at the base of the control column (Fig. 401).
