Procedure

(1)
Install the central lateral control package (CLCP) quadrant (Fig. 401):
(a)
Install the lever and the back drive control rod clevis on the quadrant.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE YOU INSTALL ALL THE SPECIFIED COTTER PINS.
_______ FAILURE TO INSTALL ALL THESE COTTER PINS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE CENTRAL LATERAL CONTROL PACKAGE.
(b)
Install the quadrant in the support bracket.
(c)
Install the bolt assembly and cotter pin.
NOTE:____The bolt assembly is a double bolt. Make sure the two nuts are tightened.
(d)
Connect the CLCP control rod between the quadrant and the CLCP (Section A-A, Fig. 401).
(e)
Install the bushing, bolt, washer, nut and cotter pin.

Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4 o 2 and 3: "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

Adjust the CLCP quadrant:
(a)
Use the straightedge to make sure the aileron control wheels are at the center.
(b)
Make sure rig pin A/S-2 is installed in the trim and feel mechanism (Fig. 402).
(c)
Adjust the CLCP control rod between the quadrant and the CLCP until you can easily install rig pin A/S-3.
(d)
Remove the rig pin A/S-3.
(e)
Connect the cables to the quadrant.
(f)
Install the cotter pins.
(g)
Tighten the cables to the specified tension range (Fig. 402).
(h)
Get access to the control load limiter through the 2nd and 3rd center ceiling panels.
NOTE: Count the ceiling panels from the forward end

of the main deck.

(i)
Install the rig pin A/S-1 in the aileron control load limiter.
(j)
Adjust the cables until you can easily install the rig pin A/S-3 in the CLCP quadrant.
(k)
Install the clip locks on the turnbuckles.
(l)
Remove all the rig pins.
(m)
Remove the straightedge from the control wheels.

Make sure the aileron operates smoothly through full travel.

Put the Airplane Back to its Usual Condition

WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO REMOVE THE
_______ DOOR LOCKS FROM THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT REMOVE THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

Close all the ceiling access panels.
