 D. Procedure
 S 424-011
 (1)  
Install the aileron control drum (Fig. 401):

 (a)  
Attach AA and AB cables to the aileron control drum.

 (b)  
Install cotter pins.

 (c)  
Attach ACBA and ACBB cables to the aileron control drum.

 (d)  
Install cotter pins and cable guards.

 (e)  
Put cable ends of ACBA and ACBB through structural cutouts.

 (f)  
Set the control drum below the captain's control column.

 (g)  
Engage the fork on the control drum with a plate on the bottom of the control column.

 (h)  
Attach the control drum to the upper beam with nuts, bolts, and washers.

 (i)  
Attach the lower beam to the structure with nuts, bolts, and washers.

 (j)  
Attach the lower end of the control drum to the beam with nuts, bolts, and washers.

 (k)  
Connect the position transmitter negator spring to the shaft between the aileron control drums.

 (2)  
Adjust the aileron control drum:

 (a)  
Connect cables AA and AB to their turnbuckles.

 (b)  
Tighten the cables to the specified tension range (Fig. 402).

 (c)  
Connect cables ACBA and ACBB to their turnbuckles.

 (d)  
Tighten the cables to the specified tension range (Fig. 402).

 (e)  
Loosen the straightedge on the control wheels.

 (f)  
Adjust the cables (keep tension in the specified limits) until you can do these steps: 1) The straightedge is level with the control wheels. 2) While rig pin A/S-2 is in the trim and feel mechanism, you

 can easily install rig pin A/S-1 in the load limiter.

 (g)  
Install the clip locks on the turnbuckle.

 (h)  
Remove the straightedge from the aileron control wheels.

 (i)  Remove rig pins A/S-1 and A/S-2.

 (3) Do this task to pressurize hydraulic systems No. 1 and 4, or 2 and
 3:  "Hydraulic System Pressurization" (Ref 29-11-00/201).

 (4)  
Do a test on the aileron control drum:

 (a)  
Turn the aileron control wheel clockwise then counterclockwise. 1) Make sure the aileron control wheel moves smoothly in each direction.

 2)  Make sure the ailerons move to the correct position in relation to the wheel movement.

 (b)
Put the control wheel back to the neutral position.
