Install the Transmitter Assembly

(1)
Install the transmitter assembly:
(a)
Put the transmitter assembly on the mounting bracket with the shaft points down.
(b)
Install the four screws, washers, and nuts that attach the transmitter assembly to the mounting bracket.
(c)
Connect the crank to the control rod with the screw, washer, and nut.
(d)
Connect the electrical connectors DB7978A, DB7978B, and DB7978C.

Remove the DO-NOT-CLOSE tags and close these circuit breakers:
(a)
P7, Overhead Circuit Breaker Panel
1) 7D8, FLT CONT CMPTR L PWR
2) 7D13, FLT CONT CMPTR C PWR
3) 7D15, FLT CONT CMPTR R PWR

Adjust the Transmitter Assembly

(1)
Adjust the transmitter assembly:
(a)
Move the speed brake lever forward to the DN detent.
(b)
Install the rig pin through the hole in the crank and the slot on the transmitter assembly. 1) If you cannot install the rig pin easily, adjust the
control rod until you can install the rig pin correctly. 2) Tighten the jam nut on the control rod.

Do this task: "Supply Electrical Power" (AMM 24-22-00/201).

Do the ground test of the transmitter assembly:
(a)
Push the key for <22 AUTOPILOT FLT DIR from the GROUND TESTS menu.
