Remove hydraulic power systems 1 and 2.

 (k)  
Supply hydraulic power systems 3 and 4.

 (l)  
Set the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER WING switches No. 1 and 2 to SHUTOFF and No. 3 and 4 to NORM. 1) Make sure the control wheel is in the neutral position. 2) Turn the control wheel clockwise to 1 unit of trim, hold


 momentarily, and release. a) Make sure the control wheel moves back to its neutral position (use a tolerance of +/- 2 degrees).
 3)  Turn the control wheel counterclockwise to 1 unit of trim, hold momentarily, and release. a) Make sure the control wheel moves back to its neutral
 position (use a tolerance of +/- 2 degrees).
 4)  Turn the control wheel clockwise to 5 unit of trim, hold momentarily, and release. a) Make sure the control wheel moves back to its neutral
 position (use a tolerance of +/- 2 degrees).
 5)  Turn the control wheel counterclockwise to 5 unit of trim, hold momentarily, and release. a) Make sure the control wheel moves back to its neutral
 position (use a tolerance of +/- 2 degrees).
 (m)  Set all the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER WING switches to NORM.

 (3)  
Do a test of the control wheel forces versus displacement.

 (a)  
Attach a protractor to an adapter on the control wheel.

 (b)  
Attach a torque wrench to an adapter on the control wheel.


 NOTE: If the adapter is not available, put a force on the
____ control wheel at a 6.5 inch radius. The torque is equal to the resultant force multiplied by 6.5 inches.

Turn the control wheel clockwise to 1-2 degrees. 1) Make sure that the torque is between 19-33 pound-inches.

Turn the control wheel clockwise to 79-81 degrees. 1) Make sure that the torque is between 72-128 pound-inches

 (e)  
Release the control wheel.

 1)  Make sure the control wheel moves back to the neutral position (use a tolerance of +/- 2 degrees).

 (f)  
Turn the control wheel counterclockwise to 1-2 degrees. 1) Make sure that the torque is between 19-33 pound-inches.

 (g)  
Turn the control wheel counterclockwise to 79-81 degrees. 1) Make sure that the torque is between 72-128 pound-inches

Release the control wheel.

 (4)  
Do a test of the aileron trim travel and trim switch operation.

 (a)  
Move the aileron trim switch to the RIGHT WING DOWN. 1) Make sure the control wheel turns 44-50 degrees clockwise.


 NOTE: Manually help control wheel to make sure system
____ is centered in trim detent.
 (b)  
Turn the control wheel 85 degrees clockwise then 85 degrees counterclockwise.

 (c)  
Release the control wheel.

 1)  Make sure the control wheel moves back to 30-50 degrees clockwise.

 (d)  
Move the aileron trim switch to the LEFT WING DOWN.


 1)  Make sure the control wheel turns 44-50 degrees counterclockwise.
 NOTE: Manually help control wheel to make sure system
____ is centered in trim detent.
 (e)  
Turn the control wheel 85 degrees counterclockwise then 85 degrees clockwise.

 (f)  
Release the control wheel.

 1)  Make sure the control wheel moves back to 30-50 degrees counterclockwise.

 (g)  
Move the control wheel and the trim system to the neutral position.

 (5)  
Use one of the four subsequent procedures to do an operational check of the outboard aileron lockout:

 (a)  
Procedure 1 (Airplanes with two SRMs P/N 285U0015-108 or later)

 1)  Do the existing faults check for the aileron lockout system (AMM 27-11-00/501).

 (b)  
Procedure 2


 1)  Move the flap control lever to the FLAP UP detent to retract the leading edge group "A" flaps.
