Prepare for Test


 S 495-092
 (1) Make sure the ground locks are installed on the landing gear.
 S 495-093
 WARNING: YOU MUST CAREFULLY DO THE STEPS IN THE TASK BELOW TO INSTALL
_______ THE DOOR LOCKS ON THE LANDING GEAR DOORS. THE DOORS CAN CLOSE QUICKLY IF YOU DO NOT INSTALL THE DOOR LOCKS CORRECTLY. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
 (2)  
Do this task: "Installation of the Door Locks on the Wing Landing Gear" (Ref 32-00-30/201).

Supply hydraulic power (Ref 29-11-00/201).

 (4)  
Supply electrical power (Ref 24-22-00/201).

 (5)  
Make sure the FLT CONTROL HYD POWER WING switches on the P461 Pilot's Overhead Maintenance Panel are in NORM.

Do a Test of the Aileron/EICAS Surface Position and Travel

 (1)  
Do a check of the aileron surface position and travel with EICAS flight controls maintenance page:

 (a)  
Move the speed brake lever to DN.

 (b) Make sure the control wheel is in the neutral position.
 1)  Make sure that the position of the outboard aileron is 0.4 degree up to 1.6 degrees down on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 2)  Make sure that the position of the inboard aileron is 1.0 degree up to 1.0 degree down on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 (c) Turn the control wheel clockwise 57-59 degrees.
 1)  Make sure that the position of the right outboard aileron is 24-26 degrees up on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 2)  Make sure that the position of the right inboard aileron is 19-21 degrees up on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 3)  Make sure that the position of the left inboard aileron is 19-21 degrees down on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 4)  Make sure that the position of the left outboard aileron is 14-16 degrees down on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 (d) Turn the control wheel counterclockwise 57-59 degrees.
 1)  Make sure that the position of the right outboard aileron is 14-16 degrees down on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 2)  Make sure that the position of the right inboard aileron is 19-21 degrees down on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 3)  Make sure that the position of the left inboard aileron is 19-21 degrees up on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 4)  Make sure that the position of the left outboard aileron is 24-26 degrees up on the EICAS flight controls maintenance page.
 G.  Do a Test of the Aileron and Aileron Trim Control System
 S 725-098
 (1)
Do a check on the movement of the load limiter mechanism.

 (a)
Install a protractor on the first officer's wheel.

 (b)  
Turn the captain's control wheel clockwise to the stop.

 (c)  
Install a clamp on the captain's control wheel.

 (d)  
Turn the first officer's control wheel counterclockwise to the stop. 1) Make sure the control wheel turns a minimum of 185 degrees.
