Remove the clamp from the captain's control wheel.

Turn the captains's control wheel counterclockwise to the stop.
(g)
Install the clamp on the captain's control wheel.
(h)
Turn the first officer's control wheel clockwise to the stop. 1) Make sure the control wheel turns a minimum of 185 degrees. 2) Remove the clamp from the captain's control wheel.
(i)
Move the speed brake handle to full up position.
(j)
Use the clamp to keep the captain's control wheel in the neutral position.
(k)
Install the control wheel adapter on the first officer's control wheel.
NOTE: If the adapter is not available, put a force on the
____ control wheel at a 6.5 inch radius. The torque is equal to the resultant force multiplied by 6.5 inches.
(l)
Attach a torque wrench to the first officer' control wheel adapter.
(m)
Turn the control wheel clockwise to 95 degrees. 1) Make sure the torque is between 299-417 pound-inches. 2) Make sure that spoilers No. 1 and No. 2 are full down.
(n)
Turn the control wheel counterclockwise to 95 degrees. 1) Make sure the torque is between 299-417 pound-inches. 2) Make sure that spoilers No. 11 and 12 are full down.
(o)
Release the clamp on the captain's control wheel.

Do a test of the control wheel friction and center operation.

Make sure that the leading edge and trailing edge flaps are fully retracted.

Make sure the control wheel is in the neutral position.
Operate the trim switch until the trim indicator shows zero
units of trim.
Turn the control wheel clockwise to 1 unit of trim, hold
momentarily, and release.
1) Make sure the control wheel moves back to its neutral
position (use a tolerance of +/- 2 degrees).
NOTE: The trim indicator measures the control wheel
____ position. The control wheel movement of 2 degrees is equal to 0.07 inch measured at the trim indicator scale.
