Remove the quadrant (1) from the programmer (14, 21) (Fig. 201):
(a)
Remove the nut (49) and the washer (50) from the quadrant shaft (42) (detail H).
(b)
Remove the quadrant retaining bolt (44).
(c)
Remove the cover (43) from the programmer (14, 21).
(d)
Remove the shaft (42) from the programmer (14, 21).
(e)
Remove the quadrant (1).

(3) Repair the quadrant:
CAUTION:_______DO NOT MAKE THE RIVET HOLES LARGER. THIS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE QUADRANT.
(a)
Remove the broken part of the rivets (53) from the holes in the quadrant (1) and the coupling (52).
(b)
Install the new shear rivets (53).
NOTE: The aluminum foil marker on the quadrant has the correct
____ rivet numbers that you must use for the installation.

Install the quadrant (1) on the programmer (14 and 21):
(a)
Put the shaft (42) through the quadrant coupling (52).
(b)
Install the nut (49), washer (50) and cotter pin (51) on the shaft (42).
(c)
Engage the splines of the quadrant coupling and shaft (42).
(d)
Install the retaining bolt (44), washer (45), nut (46), and cotter pin (47).
(e)
Install the cover (43).

5. Aileron Programmer Inspection/Check___________________________________
A. General
(1)
This procedure contains the task to do the inspection/check of the aileron programmer.
(2)
The Aileron Programmer Inspection/Check examines the worn areas of the bearing/bolt (54) and the cam/bushing (55). If a replacement is necessary, refer to the removal and installation procedure of the aileron programmer.
