A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1)
Make sure that the AFT cargo compartment door is opened (Ref. TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2)
Make sure that the access platform is in position adjacent to the AFT cargo compartment door.
(3)
Make sure that the AFT CARGO COMPT light switch 8LU is set to ON.

B. Cleaning Procedure
WARNING : OBEY THE MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU USE THIS/THESE_______ MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK.
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A GOOD FLOW OF AIR THROUGH THE WORK_______ AREA WHEN YOU USE SPECIAL MATERIALS. IF YOU GET ONE OF THESE MATERIALS ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES : -FLUSH IT AWAY WITH A FLOW OF CLEAN WATER FOR BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MINUTES. -GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL AID IF IRRITATION OCCURS. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE MATERIAL. DO NOT SMOKE WHEN YOU USE THE MATERIAL. DO NOT USE THE MATERIAL NEAR A FLAME, SPARKS OR SOURCES OF HEAT. THESE MATERIALS ARE DANGEROUS : THEY ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANTS.
(1) Remove the old sealant from the floor panels with a non metallic scraper.
(2) Clean the component interface and the adjacent area with CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a lint free cloth. Make sure that the area is dry before you continue.

(1)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(3)
Put the floor panels (1) and the section hoses (3) and (6) in position.
NOTE : Refer to the identification made during the removal procedure.

(4)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the screws (2).
(5)
Install the screws (2) and if removed the washers (8) and the nuts (9).
NOTE : Refer to the identification made during the removal procedure.

(6)
TORQUE the screws (2) to 0.42 m.daN (37.16 lbf.in).
(7)
Position the cord (7) FIBER GLASS CORD 1.1MM DIA. (DAN107-1) in the gap between the floor panels (1).
NOTE : Make sure that the cord (7) comes out at both ends:

approximatly 100.0 mm (3.9370 in.), between the sloped floor panels (1), and
-
approximatly 200.0 mm (7.8740 in.), between the flat floor panels (1).
(8)
Apply SEALANTS (Material No. 09-005) in the gap between the floor panels (1) and the cutouts of the tiedown positions.
(9)
Make a loop of the cord ends (7) and press into the sealant. NOTE : this will help with the next removal procedure.
