A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put an access platform in position below the inspection area.

B. Preparation of the Inspection Area

(1) Make sure that the outer surface of the inspection area is clean and smooth.

_______ THIS/THESE MATERIAL/S. USE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING, RUBBER GLOVES, GOGGLES AND A MASK.
WARNING : MAKE SURE THAT THERE IS A GOOD FLOW OF AIR THROUGH THE WORK
_______ AREA WHEN YOU USE SPECIAL MATERIALS. IF YOU GET ONE OF THESE MATERIALS ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR MOUTH OR IN YOUR EYES : -FLUSH IT AWAY WITH A FLOW OF CLEAN WATER FOR BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MINUTES. -GET IMMEDIATE MEDICAL AID IF IRRITATION OCCURS. DO NOT BREATHE THE FUMES FROM THE MATERIAL. DO NOT SMOKE WHEN YOU USE THE MATERIAL. DO NOT USE THE MATERIAL NEAR A FLAME, SPARKS OR SOURCES OF HEAT. THESE MATERIALS ARE DANGEROUS : THEY ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANTS.
(2)
If necessary, clean the outer surface of the inspection area with the CLEANING AGENTS (Material No. 11-004) and a MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-003).
(3)
If necessary, make the outer surface of the inspection area smooth with the abrasive cloth, grade 280. Make sure the inspection area is dry before you continue.

Do a visual inspection of the outer surface of the inspection area. Look for damage, and defects in the shape of the surface.
(5)
If you find damage :
(a)
Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-11-00-001) for the classification of the damage.
(b)
If you find corrosion damage:
-
refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-22-00-001) for the general corrosion data
-
refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-74-00-001) for the repair of the corroded areas.
(c)
If you find other types of damage:
-Refer to the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 51-73-00-001) for the repair of the minor damage.

A. Special Detailed Inspection Procedure
(1)
Do the special detailed inspection (Ref. NTM 534139-Part.6) of the internal doubler, FWD and AFT of the cutout for the water service panel. Do this externally between the STGR38 and the STGR42 positions, LH only.
(2)
Write a report about the damage you find during the inspection procedure.
NOTE : No repair data is given in the ASRM (Ref. ASRM 53-41-11-001)
____ for the doubler of the cutout for the water service panel. If the doubler is damaged:
-you must contact AIRBUS INDUSTRIE for the necessary corrective action procedure.

A. Repair of the Surface Protection
(1) If necessary, repair the paint coating in the inspection area (Ref. TASK 51-75-12-300-003) or (Ref. TASK 51-75-12-300-001).

B. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1)
Remove the access platform(s).
(2)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
