A. Preparation for Installation:
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Apply COMMON GREASE (Material No. 04-004) to the bolts (1).

B. Installation:
(1)
Put the support strut (5) in position and install the bolts (1).
(2)
Install the washers (2) and the nuts (3).
NOTE : Do not tighten the nuts at this time.

Make sure that the clearance 'x' is 14.5 +2.5 -2.5 mm (0.5708 +0.0984 -0.0984 in.) between the THS attach support and the outer attach fittings.
(4)
If necessary align the THS:
(a)
Remove and discard the lockwire.
(b)
Loosen the locknuts (11).
(c)
Remove the two support struts at the side where the clearance is lowest.
(d)
Adjust the other two support struts until the clearance 'x' is correct.
(e)
Install the support struts.
(f)
TORQUE the locknuts (11) to between 11.00 and 13.00 m.daN (81.12 and 95.87 lbf.ft)
(g)
Safety the nuts (11) with corrosion-resistant steel lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in) dia..
(5)
TORQUE the nuts (3) to between 2.60 and 3.00 m.daN (19.17 and 22.12 lbf.ft).
(6)
Safety the nuts (3) with the new cotter pins (4).
(7)
Install the bonding straps (8) and (10) with the screws (6), the washers (7) and the nuts (9) (Ref. TASK 20-28-00-912-004).
(8)
Apply STORAGE PRESERVATION (Material No. 15-007) to the area (Ref. TASK 51-75-13-916-002).

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s): 15CE1, 15CE2, 16CE1, 16CE2, 19CE1, 19CE2, 19CE3, 20CE1, 20CE2, 21CE1, 21CE2, 21CE3, 22CE.

B. Close Access
(1)
Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Install the THS fairings (Ref. TASK 53-55-13-400-001).
(3)
Install the THS aprons (Ref. TASK 55-15-11-400-001).
(4)
Close the access doors 312AR and 314AR.
(5)
Remove the warning notice(s).
(6)
Remove the access platform(s).
(7)
Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
