TORQUE the nut (25) to between 5.5 and 6.2 m.daN (40.56 and 45.72 lbf.ft).

Safety the nut (25) with a new cotter pin (26).

Install the sleeve (18).

Remove the DISTANCE STRUT - FRAME 77 (98D27408406000).

Install the Y-bolt (17). NOTE : Make sure that the Y-bolt, identified with an 'L', is

(7) Remove the access platform(s).
(8) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.

The tail cone is made of aluminum alloy, and makes up the rear part of the fuselage from FR78 to FR86.

3. Description___________
A. General The tail cone is made of frames, stringers and skin plates which are riveted together. The access door beams and the support struts increase its structural strength. The tail cone has an inspection compartment and an Auxiliary Power Unit (APU) compartment. You can remove the tail cone from the aircraft as a single unit. It is not pressurized during flight.
