Attach the hoisting sling to the hoisting lugs.

Disconnect the Tail Cone: (Ref. Fig. 408/TASK 53-58-11-991-014)
(a)
Remove the screws (68) and the access covers (69).
(b)
Remove the nuts (74), the bolts (75) and the washers (76) and disconnect the bonding strap (71).
(c)
Make sure the tail cone is held by the hoist and that the weight is not on the attach bolts.
(d) Remove and discard the cotter pins (73).
(e) Remove the nuts (72) from the attach bolts (70).
(f) Install the EXTRACTOR - ATTACH BOLTS, TAIL CONE (98A53407566005) and remove the attach bolts (70).
NOTE : The tool kit with the partnumber 98A53407566005 supersedes____ the tool kit with the partnumber 98A53407566002. If only the tool kit with the partnumber 98A53407566002 is available, then it is recommended to continue to use this tool kit.
NOTE : Remove the lower attach bolts before you remove the upper____ attach bolts.
(g) Carefully disengage the tail cone from the aircraft.
(h) Install the tail cone on a stand.
(i) Remove the hoisting equipment.

R (1) Disconnect the Electrical Systems:
R (a) Disconnect the connectors 7120VC-A/1M and 7118VC-A/1S.
R (b) Disconnect the connector 7116VC and 11LJ.
R (c) Disconnect the electrical wire from the switch 8QC.
R (d) Disconnect the connector 11WF-A and 12WF-A.
R R (e) Disconnect the electrical harnesses 6761VN/DC1, 6760VN/B1, 6528VN/DC2 and 6757VN/DC1.
R R (f) Remove the clamps from the electrical harnesses 4213VB/1M and 4207VB/1M up to FR77.
CES
R (g) Remove and discard the lockwire from the firewall seal 7138VC/3E
R at the APU firewall FR80.
R (h) Disconnect the connector 7138VC/3E.
R (i) Remove the clamps from the electrical harness 4210VB/3E between
R FR80 thru FR77.
R (j) Disconnect the electrical harness 7519VP at FR77.
R (k) Disconnect the connector 21WG-A and 22WG-A.
R (l) Remove the electrical cable 6750VN/DC1.
R (m) Remove the clamps of the electrical harnesses 4213VB/1M and
R 4631VB/1M up to FR77.
R (n) Remove the electrical harnesses 6533VN/DC1, 4643VB/3P and the
R clamps between FR78 and FR79.
R (o) Disconnect the connector 7527VC and remove the clamps up to FR77.
R (p) Disconnect the cable lugs of the electrical harness 4622VB/3G
R from the terminal block 7508VT and remove the clamps between FR77
R and FR79.
R (q) Put blanking caps on the disconnected electrical connectors.
R (2) Disconnect the Bleed Air Duct:
R (Ref. Fig. 403A/TASK 53-58-11-991-010-A)
R (a) Remove the overheat sensing element 19HF (Ref. TASK 36-22-17-000-
R 001).
R (b) Remove the insulating sleeve (2), the insulation lock sleeve (12)
R and the insulating sleeve (11).
R (c) Remove the nuts (5), the washers (6) and the bolts (7) and
R disconnect the rod assembly (8) from the bleed air duct (13).
R (d) Remove the nuts (17), the washers (16), the screws (15) and the
R bonding strap (14) from the bleed air duct (13).
R (e) Remove the V-clamp (1) and move the bleed air duct (4) forward.
R (f) Remove and discard the air seal (9) from the bleed air duct (4).
R (g) Put the COVER - PLASTIC on the open ends of the bleed air ducts.
R (3) Disconnect the hydraulic hoses 1102GM, 1103GM, 3102GM and 3103GM:

R (a) Put a CONTAINER 5 L(1 1/2 USGAL) in position to collect unwanted
R hydraulic fluid.
R (b) Disconnect the hose assemblies.
R (c) Put blanking plugs on the disconnected line ends.
R (d) Remove the container.
R (4) Drain the APU Fuel Line:
