-two framework fittings on the forward frame FR78. These permit the inspection of the horizontal stabilizer bearings with the tail cone installed,
-a fail-safe fitting on the top side of the forward frame FR78. This takes the load if one of the main attachment fittings fail,
-seven APU attachment fittings for the installation of the APU and it's related equipment,
-hoisting points for the removal and installation of the tailcone.

Firewalls The APU compartment is a specified fire zone and firewalls close the compartment on all sides. The firewalls are made of titanium sheets. The firewalls have cutouts for the APU related components and equipment.
(3)
Service Frame The service frame is a box made of aluminum-alloy sheets. It is part of the APU air intake system. A honeycomb panel with a safety walk surface is attached to the top of it.

Maintenance and Access Doors A maintenance door (314AR) and two access doors (315AL and 316AR) are installed in the lower surface of the tailcone. They give access to the APU and its related components.
(5)
Over-pressure Release Door The over-pressure release door releases the pressure in the tail cone if there is a sudden increase in pressure. The door closes automatically when the pressure decreases.
