A. Install the Personal Computer Memory Card (PCMCIA)
(Ref. Fig. 203/TASK 31-36-00-991-001)
(1)
Make sure that both LED's (1) and (2) are off.
(2)
Open the flap (3) to get access to the PCMCIA-Card.
(3)
Insert the PCMCIA-Card until the card is flush with the gray button (4).
(4) Close the flap (3) of the PCMCIA interface. R **ON A/C 106-149, 211-299, 301-399, 401-499,

A. Install the Personal Computer Memory Card (PCMCIA)
(1)
Open the door to get access to the PCMCIA-Card.
(2)
Insert the PCMCIA-Card carefully into the interface until the card has connected with the contacts.
(3)
Close the door.

On the panel 121VU close the circuit breaker 4TV.
-On the MCDU display the <AIDS prompt comes on.
(2)
On the MCDU push the line key adjacent to <AIDS.
-The AIDS initial menu comes on.
(3)
Push the line key adjacent to PCMCIA>.
-The AIDS DISK MENU comes on.
(4)
Push the line key adjacent to <DISK IDENT.
-The AIDS DISK IDENT menu comes on.
(5)
Push the line key adjacent to DISK MAINTENANCE WORD.
-The Disk Maintenance Word is 00000000.
-No failure is indicated.
(6)
On the MCDU push the MCDU Main Menu key.
-The MCDU Main Menu comes on.

Make sure that the aircraft is in Ground configuration (both Engines stopped and Landing Gear compressed).
(2)
On the panel 121VU close the circuit breaker 5TV.
-On the MCDU display the <AIDS prompt shows.
(3)
On the MCDU push the line key adjacent to the <AIDS indication.
-The AIDS menu shows.
(4)
Push the line key adjacent to the PCMCIA> indication.
-The AIDS: PCMCIA MAIN MENU shows.
