On one nosewheel steering handwheel, push and hold the PEDALS DISC pushbutton.

Operate the rudder and the elevators continuously.

Stop the operation of the control surfaces.
5.
On the nosewheel steering handwheel, release the PEDALS DISC pushbutton.
6.
On overhead panel 40VU:
-push the YELLOW ELEC PUMP
P/BSW.
On overhead panel 40VU:
-the ON light on the P/BSW comes on.
The electric pump of the Yellow hydraulic system starts.
On the ECAM lower DU:
-the pressure in the YELLOW hydraulic system must be between 2800 and 3200 psi.
The nosewheel steering is disconnectedfrom the rudder pedals.
On the ECAM lower DU:
-
the pressure in the YELLOW hydraulic system must be not less than 2200 psi (with the control surfaces in operation).
On the ECAM lower DU:
-
the pressure in the YELLOW hydraulic system increases to between 2800 and 3200 psi.
The nosewheel steering is connected tothe rudder pedals.
On overhead panel 40VU:
-the ON light goes off.
The electric pump of the Yellow hydraulic system stops.

(1)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2)
Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(3)
On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal, press the HYD pushbutton (P/B). Make sure that the HYD page is shown on the ECAM lower Display Unit (DU).
(4)
Make sure that the ECAM system does not show one of these conditions:
-
Low air pressure in the Yellow reservoir,
-
Low fluid level in the Yellow reservoir.
