Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).

Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized. (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5)
Make sure that the access door 197EB is open.
(6)
Make sure that the RAT is extended (Ref. TASK 29-22-00-869-001).

A. Installation of the Eye End of the RAT Ejection Jack
WARNING : USE SOLVENTS/CLEANING AGENTS, SEALANTS AND OTHER SPECIAL
_______ MATERIALS ONLY WITH A GOOD SUPPLY OF AIR. OBEY THE MANUFACTURERS INSTRUCTIONS. PUT ON PROTECTIVE CLOTHING. DO NOT GET THEM IN YOUR MOUTH. DO NOT SMOKE. DO NOT BREATHE THE GAS. THESE MATERIALS ARE POISONOUS, FLAMMABLE AND SKIN IRRITANT. GET MEDICAL HELP IF YOUR SKIN OR EYES BECOME IRRITATED.
(1)
Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(2)
Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.
(3)
Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
(4)
Apply SPECIAL MATERIALS (Material No. 05-002) to the thread of the eye end (4).
(5)
Assemble the locking key (3) and the nut (2) to the eye end (4).
(6)
Install the eye end (4) in the ejection jack (1).
(7)
Turn the eye end (4) until the distance "Z" is the same as before the removal of the eye end (refer to the note).
(8)
Tighten the nut (2) and make sure that the locking key (3) engages correctly in the ejection jack (1).
(9)
TORQUE the nut (2) to 4.47 m.daN (32.96 lbf.ft).
(10)
Safety the nut (2) and the locking key (3) with MISCELLANEOUS (Material No. 19-010).
(11)
Install the bolt (8), the washers (7) and a new nut (6).

(12) TORQUE the nut (6) to between 2.45 and 2.55 m.daN (18.06 and 18.80 lbf.ft).

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.

Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tool(s) and other items.
(2)
Close the access door 197EB.
(3)
Remove the safety barriers.
(4)
Remove the warning notice(s).
