B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING : OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.

(1)
Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
(2)
Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system
-In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
-On the ground service panels of the Green and Yellow system
(3)
Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration. (Ref. TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4)
Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5)
Open the access door 196BB.
(6)
Put a container under the electric pump.
(7)
Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

A. Removal of the Electric Pump
CAUTION : USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN_______ YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU USE THE SECOND WRENCH, YOU WILL NOT LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
R R NOTE : If new nuts (10) are not available, you can keep them, but do not____ use them more than three times.
(1) Cut and discard the lockwire and disconnect the electrical connector (14) from the pump (3).
(2) Remove the clamp (4) and disconnect the air hose (5) from the pump (3).
(3) Loosen the union nut (2) and disconnect the suction pipe (1) from the pump (3).
R R (4) Remove and discard the O-ring (28) from the union nut (2). Install a blanking plug in the disconnected line end.
R (5) Loosen the union nut (7) and disconnect the case drain pipe (6) from the pump (3). Install a blanking plug in the disconnected line end.
R (6) Loosen the union (18) and disconnect the pressure pipe (19) from the pump (3). Install a blanking plug in the disconnected line end.
R (7) Loosen the union nut (17) and disconnect the seal drain pipe (16) from the pump (3).
R (8) Put blanking caps in the open ports of the pump (3).
R R (9) Remove and discard the four nuts (10).
R (10) Remove the bolts (15) and disconnect the bonding jumper (13).
R (11) Remove the pump (3) from the aircraft.
