 5 If the RAT FAULT warning shows, the pressure switch in the RAT
_
 actuator is defective.

 6 If necessary, deactivate the warning from the pressure switch,
_
 as follows:

 a Disconnect the electrical connector 1GE-E.
_ b Put a blanking cap on the disconnected electrical
_
 connector.

 c Use a tie-wrap and attach the cable and the electrical
_ connector to an adjacent part of the structure.
 d Continue with the workstep (8).
_ 7 If the RAT FAULT warning does not show, the defect is unwanted
_ hydraulic pressure in the "retract" side of the RAT actuator. You must do the trouble shooting procedure of the system before dispatch of the aircraft.
 (7) If the red warning light ACTUATOR PRESSURE is off:
 (a) Set the 28V DC switch on the RAT control panel 3GE to ON.
 1 If the green indicator light RAT STOWED is on, do the

_
 subsequent work steps:

 a Extend the RAT (Ref. TASK 29-22-00-869-005).
_ b Make sure that the green indicator light RAT STOWED on the
_
 RAT control panel is off.

 c Retract the RAT (Ref. TASK 29-22-00-869-006).
_
 d Make sure that the green indicator light RAT STOWED is on.

_
 e You can dispatch the aircraft if the work steps a_ thru d_

 above are correct.

 2_ If the green indicator light RAT STOWED is off, you must do
 the trouble shooting procedure of the system before dispatch
 of the aircraft.

 (8)
 Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system, if you have not done this before (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).

 (9)
 On the RAT control panel, set the 28V DC switch to OFF.


 (10) On the RAT control panel, close the cover.

 Cut and remove the tie-wrap which attaches the electrical connector 1GE-E to the structure.

 (c)
 Connect the electrical connector 1GE-E to the RAT Actuator 1GE.

 Do the trouble shooting of the RAT system.

 Deactivation of the Reservoir Low-Level Warning
 1. Reason for the Job__________________
 Refer to the MMEL TASK: 29-30-04-5) ECAM Warnings and Cautions Reservoir LO LVL WARNINGS (FAA Only)
 NOTE : The ECAM caution message -RSVR LO LVL- can be erroneously shown by a____ defective low level switch. This condition is identified by the illumination of an related PUMP FAULT LIGHT (when the Blue hydraulic system is affected), or at the same time the illumination of the related PUMP FAULT light and PTU FAULT light (when Green and/or Yellow hydraulic systems are affected). When one or both of these lights are 'ON', do a check of the affected low level switch (Ref. AMM TASK 29-31-00-710-001). Deactivate the switch if you cannot repair or replace it. Clear the -RSVR LO LVL- caution message by pushing the 'CLEAR' button on the ECAM. The PUMP FAULT lights will operate in the case of a pump failure. The subsequent quantity discrepancies will be shown by the -RSVR LO LVL- caution message on the ECAM when the transmitter operates, although, in this scenario, the lights will not operate as scheduled due to the deactivated low level switch.
