Do an inspection of the component interface and/or the adjacent area.

Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (4) and the quantity indicator (2).

Make sure that the electrical connectors are clean and in the correct condition.
(5)
Connect the electrical connector (4) to the quantity indicator (2).
(6)
Install and align the quantity indicator (2) in the ground service panel (3) of the Green hydraulic system.

(1) Open the main doors of the main gear (Ref. TASK 32-12-00-010-001).

Make sure that the quantity indicator shows the same hydraulic quantity as:

the quantity indicator of the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system,
-
the quantity indicator of the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system,
-
the quantity indicator of the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system.

1. General

The hydraulic pressure indicating system monitors the hydraulic pressure at different locations in the three hydraulic systems. Two types of detectors are used, pressure switches and pressure transmitters. The data is used for visual on the ECAM display unit and for FAULT action from the ECAM. Discrete signals are also sent to the overhead panel. Some data is sent to other aircraft systems.

3. System Description

The hydraulic pressure indicating system uses two different types of pressure switch and a single type of pressure transmitter to get system pressure information. The system pressure is monitored:
-
downstream of each engine-driven pump (Yellow and Green systems),
-
downstream of the electric pump of the Blue system,
-
at the HP manifolds (Green, Blue and Yellow systems),
-
at the brake manifold (Yellow system).
Type 1 pressure switches are installed downstream of the engine-driven pumps. They monitor the output pressure of the pump.

Type 2 pressure switches are installed downstream of the Blue electric pump and on the three HP manifolds. The first one monitors the output from the Blue electric pump. Those on the HP manifolds monitor the HP of the individual systems downstream of the solenoid valves (1150GP, 2150GP, 3150GP).
