(2)
Depressurize the Green, Yellow and Blue hydraulic systems (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-001), (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-002), (Ref. TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(3)
Remove the blanking cap and connect the FILL UNIT - AIR (98D29003501000) to the charging valve on the air manifold.
NOTE : If the pressurizing tool is not available, it is possible to
____ use an alternative source for a supply of air. The supply must have a pressure not higher than 5 bar (75 psi) and it must have a filter. The filter must have a filtration rating of 5 microns or better.
(4)
Pressurize the reservoirs to 50 psig.
(5)
Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(6)
Do the EIS start procedure (Upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only) (Ref. TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(7)
On the ECAM control panel on the center pedestal push the HYD pushbutton switch (P/BSW). Make sure that the HYD page is shown on the lower (system) display of the ECAM.

_________ Subtask 29-34-00-710-051
A. Operational Test of the Reservoir Low Air Pressure Warning
(1) Observe the subsequent warnings: WARNING : PROTECT YOUR HANDS AND FACE FROM THE GAS WHICH COMES OUT
_______ WHEN YOU OPEN THE MANUAL DEPRESSURIZATION VALVE OF THE RESERVOIRS. IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE GAS IS HOT AND CONTAINS HYDRAULIC FLUID.
NOTE : To find the air pressure in a reservoir refer to the air
____
pressure gage on the relevant reservoir.
NOTE : The FAULT lights on panel 40VU do not come on if the
____ appropriate pushbutton switches are in the OFF position (OFF light on).
(2) Do this test:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1. On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system:
- set the reservoir - the air is released from the
depressurizing valve to OPEN. reservoir of the Green hydraulic system. When the pressure decreases to 22 +2 -2 psig, these warnings occur: - the single chime operates - On the panel 40VU on the overhead panel - the PTU/FAULT light comes on, - the ENG 1 PUMP/FAULT light comes
on.
- On the panels 130VU and 131VU on the glareshield: - the MASTER CAUT lights come on. - On the lower ECAM display: - the message LO AIR PRESS comes on near the Green hydraulic system indication.
2. On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system:
- set the reservoir
depressurizing valve to CLOSED.
3. Pressurize the reservoir to 50 psig. - The pressure in the reservoir of theGreen hydraulic system increases to 50 psig. - When the pressure increases to 25 psig, all of the above warnings are no longer shown.
4. On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system:
- set the reservoir - The air is released from the
depressurizing valve to OPEN reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
ACTION RESULT -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
5. On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system:
-set the reservoir depressurizing valve to CLOSED.
6.
Pressurize the reservoir to 50 psig.
7.
On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system:
-set the reservoir depressurizing valve to OPEN.
-When the pressure decreases to 22 +2 -2 psig, these warnings occur:
-the single chime operates
-
On the panel 40VU on the overhead panel:
-the BLUE/ELEC PUMP/FAULT lights come on
-
On the panels 130VU and 131VU on the glareshield:
-the MASTER CAUT lights come on
-
On the lower ECAM display:
-the message LO AIR PRESS comes on near the Blue hydraulic system indication
-The pressure in the reservoir of theBlue hydraulic system increases to 50 psig.
-When the pressure increases to 25 psig, all of the warnings given in step 4 are no longer shown.
-The air is released from the Yellowsystem reservoir.
-When the air pressure decreases to 22 +2 -2 psig, these warnings occur:
-the single chime operates
-
On the panel 40VU on the overhead panel:
-
the PTU/FAULT light comes on,
-
the ENG 2 PUMP/FAULT light comes on.
-
On the panels 130VU and 131VU on the glareshield:
-the MASTER CAUT lights come on.
