- two temperature transducers which provide the analog signals for the two ECAM displays (via the SDAC).
The temperature switch is set to operate at 95 +2.2 -2.2 deg.C (203.00 +3.96 -3.96 deg.F) and to reset if the fluid temperature is equal to or greater than 88.4 deg.C (191.12 deg.F).
The temperature transducers measure fluid temperatures between minus 55 deg.C (131.00 deg.F) and plus 120 deg.C (248.00 deg.F) with an accuracy of plus 2.2 deg.C (35.96 deg.F) and minus 2.2 deg.C (35.96 deg.F)
NOTE : Temperature transducers are used so that it will be possible (as____ an option) to show actual fluid temperature on the ECAM display as well as the warning which is shown at present.
5. Operation_________
R R R R R The temperature transmitters monitor the temperature of the hydraulic fluid in the return line. When the temperature of the fluid reaches 92.8 deg.C (199.04 deg.F), the temperature transducers send an analog signal and the "OVHT" legend on the system display of the ECAM comes on in amber. When the temperature of the fluid goes higher than 95 +2 -2 deg.C (203.00 +3.60 -3.60 deg.F) the temperature switch in the transmitter closes. A discrete signal then goes through the SDAC and the FWC to the overhead panel.
The following warnings occur: - the single-chime audio warning operates, - the MASTER CAUT lights on the glareshield come on, - the applicable FAULT light(s) come(s) on on the overhead panel, - the applicable warnings are shown on the system and engine/warning displays of the ECAM. At the same time, the two transducers in the temperature transmitters send analog data to the two SDAC. If the transducer data shows that the temperature of the fluid is more than 98 deg.C (208.40 deg.F) (and the SDAC have not received a discrete signal from the temperature switch), then the FWC start FAULT procedure. The warning indications are the same as above.
NOTE : The FAULT light(s) (if applicable) and the warning ("HYD Y (G/B) RSVR____ OVHT") on the engine warning display stay on as long as the temperature of the fluid is too high.
